What is Blogtober?
Blogtober is an annual event for bloggers. It’s one of the best ways for how to grow your Blog
It’s a blogging event held in the month of every October where participating bloggers blog every day the entire month! Yes, every day!
The Blogtober Challenge from last year (2020) brought me so much traffic that it has become my number #1 Pinterest Board with over 2 million Pinterest Impressions within the last 90 days. And to this day I still get traffic from those old posts.
Top 20 Best Pinterest Marketing tips
1 – 4 Best Practices for Internet Marketing in 2021 – in this post, I like how the author describes the sales funnel (pictured below) for a Basic Pinterest Funnel. This image helps portray the importance of growing traffic to your blog by using Pinterest and optimizing your posts for Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
2 – 5 Case Studies on the Power of Pinterest Marketing – the take away from this post is right at the top of her post:
“For the past year I’ve been working with students and clients to improve their Pinterest strategy, and skyrocket their traffic, leads, and sales for their businesses and blogs.
I’ve created a free 5-day Pinterest course that over 1K students have worked their way through, I’ve held multiple free online workshops, I’ve written “share-all” blog posts, and I’ve worked with hundreds of students in my signature Pinterest course, Pintastic Profit Plan. I love when students get back to me after implementing even just 1 or 2 of the strategies that I teach, and get these incredible little “wins,” that really encourage them to keep going and fully implement a complete and strategic Pinterest strategy.” I highly suggest that you sign up for the 5-day Pinterest course to use the 3P’s: Profile. Pinning, and Profit to use the power of Pinterest.
3 – 8 Pinterest Tips and Tricks – A Cheat Sheet for newbies – in a nutshell, here’s the most important thing to take away from this post (regarding Pinterest): “Create brand awareness by providing eye-catching images that drive traffic to your website, increase sales, revenue and cash flow.” The other important factor mentioned in this post and that’s why there are so many pins that I’ve created in this post that focus on Pinterest Analytics is Pay Attention to Your Analytics!
4 –37 Brilliant Pinterest Marketing Tips – “Pinterest marketing can generate tons of traffic to your website? It’s true! Pinterest is not just for food, fashion, and fitness. Pinterest is actually a powerful marketing tool every blogger and online business owner should learn to use.”
If you liked the above post called 37 Brilliant Pinterest Marketing tips, you might want to download her free Pinterest checklist which I’d highly recommend to new bloggers to grow your blog with the power of Pinterest.
5 – 50 In-depth Strategies for Mastering Pinterest for your Blog – here’s 50 ways to improve your Pinterest strategy.
6 – Current Pinterest Marketing Strategies – – this is an updated 2020 post and the one thing that remains constant now and probably won’t change too much over the next few years is: “If you want to get traffic to your website from Pinterest then you have to create relevant, recent and inspiring content on Pinterest . . . In simple terms that means create great content and design new awesome pins regularly. In reality, that’s always been the case to get traffic from Pinterest!”
8 – Start driving massive traffic to your blog with Pinterest – a very quick down and dirty, what I like to call a Reader’s Digest Condensed version of how to set up Pinterest for beginners that will result in increased traffic to your blog. This post by itself won’t drive massive traffic to your blog but the Pinterest platform will. To truly have a whole bunch of traffic to your blog I highly recommend the Pinterest Traffic Avalanche Course that I’ve personally taken to grow my Pinterest account.
If you want to fully take advantage of Pinterest, here’s a link for you to go to the page to download your 40 page Pinterest e-Book with step by step instructions (from Image #5 above).
10 – How to set up the Pinterest Pin It Button on your Blog – this is very beneficial to make it easier for people to save your pins to their Pinterest boards. It also saves a lot of manual coding on your part.
13 – How to use Pinterest to find Unlimited New Customers – an 11 minute YouTube video on how to use Pinterest to grow your blog (link removed, unable to connect).
14 – Pinterest Analytics – What’s Important – Find out now! – “So in this blog, I’m going to help break it down to be as easy to understand as possible so that you can come away from this feeling more confident and with a better understanding of how to not only find the right data, but also understand why it’s so valuable to your business.”
16 – Pinterest Marketing Essentials – Best Practices you need to know! In looking at this post, I also found another pin (Pinterest checklist – Big Events during the year) that I’ve added to the Gallery below (so the 3rd and 4th pins are both on this post). It’s recommended to pin for these big events 30 to 60 days out ahead of the date so that the pins can get circulated on Pinterest (before the date arrives).
17 – Pinterest Marketing FAQs – a podcast to get answers to some of the most commonly asked Pinterest marketing questions
18 – Pinterest Marketing for Bloggers – I couldn’t find the exact link to this pin that I found so I’ve provided a link to the next best thing called Pinterest for Beginner Bloggers. I really benefited from this site’s course called DoSixFigures Bootcamp. It was a course that talked at great length about web design and was very instrumental in the design of my homepage when I first started blogging more than a year ago.
In the link called Pinterest for Beginner Bloggers there are a lot of suggestions that bloggers should implement for their Pinterest board. You never know with Pinterest if the one pin that you design is going to go viral to bring you loads of traffic. It’s definitely worth a shot and it’s free for a personal or business account.
19 – The 5 Point Pinterest Roadmap to Increase Conversions – Here the most important take away from this post: To “Enhance and Improve your Conversions your Pinterest marketing strategy shouldn’t just be about getting the clicks. That’s just the start! The real goal is to be able to actually convert your visitors into subscribers, leads and eventually paying customers. “
20 – The Ultimate Guide to Mastering Pinterest Analytics – since there were two Ultimate Guides to Mastering your Pinterest Analytics I wanted to leave both of them in this post. Where one doesn’t mention something important maybe the other one will and vice versa!
a. The Ultimate Guide to Mastering Pinterest Analytics (the 1st image – link removed, it’s broken).
b. The Ultimate Guide to Pinterest Analytics and how to use them (2nd image).

In my post, Top 52 Star Trek Original Series Pins, I’ve been watching this show since I was 9 years old back in the 1960’s. On my Pinterest Board there are 1,345 pins that I’ve been collecting. I went through the entire collection of pins to pick my top favorite Star Trek Pinterest pins. My wife’s favorite number is 52 and she told me that she likes the number 52 which any time she refers to something as being big, she describes the number as 52. For that reason I’ve selected the top 52 Star Trek pins.
