The importance of providing freebies for people visiting your site is so important. To look at other printables, simply do a search within Pinterest for Printables. There are a variety of things that you can do to provide printables in the form of:
- Planning Calendars
- Cheat sheets
The printable below is a Pinterest Printable for new bloggers.
The list of printables that you can design far exceeds the list that I have provided above. But one thing that you might want to know about me is that I like to provide checklists and cheat sheets. So I’ll be concentrating on providing that information for you from time to time.
As you might have already heard if you visited one of my other blogs is that I’m relatively a new blogger (one month old). The reason that I mention this is that I really like the idea behind landing pages. An issue that I’m facing when I build my landing page is that when I try to test out the landing page I’m not provided with an e-mail to see if it works. I know it’s some kind of glitch so I’m taking a leap of faith that landing page for one of my new freebies will work.
To summarize, what I need to do ensure that it works is jump up from my computer, run to my Mrs. Charleboix’s computer, and type in her e-mail address.
I have opened a ticket with my host provider. I suspect that the problem is that I haven’t validated my domain. From what I’ve gathered, if you were to select your main domain, the landing page would take over that domain (and you might risk the possibility of losing valuable data – better safe than sorry).
Another possible issue is that I’m using my Hotmail account instead of my domain e-mail address. So my suggestion to new bloggers that create a ConvertKit account is to use your domain e-mail right off the bat. What they tend to is cause a huge factor in that they get prevented from sending or are blocked (have been flagged as phishing).
One suggestion that I read talked about setting up a subdomain instead of a custom domain and then add DNS records to the subdomain (that’s way over my head and you’ll probably want to check with your host provider for their help).
Once I determine the cause, I’ll post the update in this blog post to keep you all informed.
As promised here’s the update in case you aren’t getting emails. It has a lot to do with not using your Domain e-mail address.
If it happens to you that you’re testing out your landing page and your not getting emails.
- Sign into your ConvertKit account
- Click on what looks like a rectangle with a smiley face in the lower right hand corner to bring up chat help
- Then type in your question (they might take a while to get there).
- Ask for help to remove your non-domain e-mail and have them replace it with your domain e-mail.
- You might have to look at your unconfirmed list to remove those “unconfirmed” users. Then you should be in working order.
