What do “if you build it they will come” and SEO have in common? In a post called Is “If you build it, they will come” an effective marketing strategy? Just like it can be applied to an effective marketing strategy, the star of the movie (Field of Dreams) Ray Kinsella played by Kevin Costner understood exactly what it (the iconic phrase) meant. And this iconic saying (if you build it, they will come) can be expressly tied to SEO, Pinterest, my new SEO Hurdle for Bloggers Course, and Blogging that all have the same principles. I’m writing this post to promote my latest post called SEO Hurdle for Bloggers Online Course.
If you build it they will come
I chose the picture above because without SEO they won’t come. SEO makes a night and difference to your organic traffic.
In this post, the movie reminds me of my Dad’s great love for baseball and his appreciation for the iconic movie to depict baseball called The Field of Dreams. The movie Field of Dreams has a very famous saying in there that goes “If you build it, they will come.”
Here’s a summary of strategies that need to take place that Ray also did in the Field of Dreams:
- He knew what his audience wanted.
- He knew the strategies to get his audience where he wanted to take them
- “If you build it, they will come” can be achieved with all of the right strategies, but it takes time!” The Creative Monsters
This last statement is very important and ties in really good to my free online course SEO Hurdle for Bloggers Online Course. There you’ll be provided with the right strategies that you need to improve your SEO.
In the article written by Creative Monsters at the top of this post they said that “Online success comes from a strong, well-researched strategy.”
My free online-course (SEO Hurdle for Bloggers) will help you to develop the strategy that you need to improve your SEO.
With the aid of my online course, you’ll learn how to use the four pillars of SEO that they refer to in the quote below:
“Search engine optimization (SEO) strategies need to be implemented, monitored and consistently updated. There needs to be an on-page, off-page or on-page and off-page technical SEO strategy set in place to help reach those goals originally set in place.” The Creative Monsters
I’ve just finished writing a blog post called Free Ahrefs to improve your SEO and in that post Free Ahrefs to improve your SEO I examined how you can use the free alternative to get just as good results from Ahrefs in their free alternative program called Ahrefs Webmaster tools. That way you’re saving yourself a bunch of money but getting some of the main benefits that Ahrefs a leading SEO report has to provide for your site’s SEO overview and it’s all for free.
I’m bringing this post to your attention because within that post you’ll see a lot of SEO stats for my site PinArtwork.
For example, one of the stats that I’m very proud of the number of referring domains (green line) and organic traffic (blue line) that have started coming to PinArtwork after I discovered the importance of using Holistic SEO. There are a lot of advantages to using Rank Math vs. Yoast SEO and this graph clearly demonstrates how the program Rank Math SEO can improve your SEO if you properly start using keywords strategically.
In an article called Startup Myth #1: If you Build It, They Will Come (depicted below) Blaze Digital Brands said: “Search Engine Optimization (SEO) remains one of the single most important components of any organization’s branding efforts and online presence.” So I implore you to enroll in my free SEO Hurdle for Bloggers Course.

“They’ll come to Iowa for reasons they can’t even fathom. They’ll turn into your driveway, not knowing for sure why they’re doing it. They’ll arrive at your door, as innocent as children , longing for the past. “Of course, we won’t mind if you look around,” you’ll say, “It’s only twenty dollars per person.” And they’ll pass over the money without even thinking about it; for it’s money they have, and peace they lack.”
