How to Teach yourself SEO
How long does it take to learn SEO?
The normal amount of time that it takes to build SEO (search engine optimization) for a new blog is about three to six months. With that in mind, hopefully you’ll see why it’s imperative that you try to master SEO as soon as you can for your blog.
You’re probably going to want to be more concerned with creating new content but let me assure you that learning SEO is more important in the long run to help build sustainable traffic for your blog. Of course, it also helps to have killer content. But that takes time before you’re able to determine what it is that works best for your blog in terms of killer content.
The very first thing that you should do is to decide what plug-in you’re going to use for your SEO program. I highly recommend Rank Math SEO which has a free and premium version. This program offers a lot of things for free that you have to pay for in the comparable version of Yoast SEO. If you haven’t made the switch from Yoast SEO to Rank Math, please read the post called 3 Reasons why Rank Math SEO is better than Yoast SEO?
How can I teach myself SEO?
To teach yourself SEO you can start by optimizing your posts that you’ve already written if you were using something else other than Rank Math. This allows you to see how you can make the best use out of Rank Math to improve your SEO score for your posts. Once you start getting into the habit of knowing what needs to be done on a post in order to optimize it, writing your post around your keywords will result in higher SEO scores as you write your posts.
I’ve written a post called How to fully optimize your SEO score with 5 tables that guides you with how to learn SEO step-by-step and gives instructions on how to optimize your posts and get the best SEO scores with Rank Math.
Another good place for you to teach yourself SEO is with the use of my #1 post (in terms of incoming links) called the Ultimate SEO Roadmap to Learning SEO. This post is a one stop place and SEO guide for you to examine many different SEO posts, tools, and suggestions. It lays out an SEO strategy for more experienced bloggers and for new bloggers it helps you by providing a good layout for how you can begin to learn SEO. If you’re wanting to learn how to teach yourself SEO this is a must see blog post.
Thirdly, if you’re inclined that you want to know how to learn SEO for free, I’d highly suggest that if you want to teach yourself SEO to read my SEO improvement posts (90+ in all). I’ve also developed an SEO course called SEO Hurdle Course that is devoid of pictures and is mostly text to get straight to improving your SEO so that you can begin to start improving traffic to your blog.
When I made the transition from regular SEO to Holistic SEO, my blog’s traffic improved from 10 page views per day to it’s current average of 60 page views per day. I’m not at the threshold of breaking 10,000 page views in three months; however, my blog is heading in that direction that it will happen sooner or later. As of right now, I’m on target to have at least 7,000 page views in 3 months. But the ultimate goal is to have 10,000 page views in 3 months. And I’ll have a heck of a party when that happens with your help by reading my blog posts.
