There are so many ways that you can grow your blog and bring traffic to your blog with creative content. This blog post, how to bring traffic to your blog with creative content focuses on one of the avenues that I’ve taken to bring traffic to my blog (PinArtwork) which is “creative content.”
Undoubtedly, the biggest thing bringing traffic to my blog in terms of creative content are my Star Trek pins, which my post has more than 15,000 social shares. I’m getting ready to publish another Blogtober post shortly which features my Top Pinterest impression pins. What surprised me is that my fall decor pins are starting to get a bigger draw of traffic to my blog than the Star Trek pins.
I’ve read it before that blogs are sporadically driven around the fall season and that just proved it to me that in order to grow traffic to your blog it’s necessary to look at your seasonal calendar now and then. For more information on how to get a seasonal calendar or to get a Reader’s Digest version of it, please visit my post A seasonal planning calendar for Pinterest that will help you in your endeavor to learn how to bring traffic to your blog with creative content.
How to bring traffic to your blog with creative content
A while back I found a post that had a lot of motivational and inspirational quotes (see below). But the post didn’t have any images. It’s been nearly three to four months that I’ve been working on this project and my post (with its images) is nearly completed with an image for almost every quote. I had anticipated that the post (300+ Motivational and Inspirational Quotes to help achieve your goals) would be done (in its entirety) by the end of April, 2021. However, I switched gears to put a lot more effort into the Star Trek pins which were bringing significantly much more traffic (in the neighborhood of more than 15,000 social shares).
Over time, I noticed that the number of social shares was steadily climbing and I made it a habit to continually try making at least two to three pins per day for the post. When I added new images, the social shares would also raise slightly at the same time. So I knew that I had stumbled on to something very worthwhile to bring traffic to your blog – creating content with fresh new pins! This is the very foundation of what Pinterest has been telling us for months – that it want’s brand new fresh content and the Pinterest Algorithm rewards people for bringing them new content.
I was hoping that making “Faith” pins would also work just as well but they weren’t quite as successful as the Motivational and Inspirational pins post.
The point that I’m trying to make is to find a television show that you like (hopefully one that is pretty popular) and to make pins for that series.
Another good way to grow traffic for your blog is by participating in the annual Blogtober event that takes place in the month of October. Bloggers are required to write one post per day, everyday. Yup, every day without exception. It’s quite a daunting task but it can be done if you try to write your blog posts ahead of time and schedule them to post every day apart. With the Blogtober event you can get out of your niche and add some good material to your blog.
I hope that I’ve inspired you in some way to create graphic content for your blog. By the by, a question that I often see is how can I improve getting backlinks to my website. By creating great content on your blog people may be tempted to copy and paste your information into their blog and Viola, you’ve created a natural backlink to your blog. Natural backlinks will improve your domain authority (DA) score and help your page authority in a few instances.
Live long and prosper and Happy pinning.
