How can SEO increase Web Traffic – 11 ways to improve your organic traffic.
1. External link Building

The first thing that you must do in order to drive more organic traffic to your website is link building.
Simply put, link building is the process in which you get inbound links published on other platforms in order to boost your site’s popularity.
There are two main methods of building links to your website.
a. You can either start a paid campaign in which you pay people to upload content with your website links in it – or
b. You can make your content so authoritative that people themselves (without any instructions from your side) start mentioning it in their content. The latter is the ‘organic’ method to get inbound links and is often referred to as “natural” links. This is the method that I prefer to use to build links to my website.

2. Internal Linking
By adding internal links in your website, you can make it easier for website crawlers to navigate it.
When your website has links pointing to other pages, the crawler will be able to jump from one page to the other and determine the relevancy of your site quicker. This is key to to making your site rank higher in the SERPs.
3. Answer your Readers’ Questions
Making your content relatable is also a good way to increase organic traffic.
Instead of churning out mechanical and useless blog posts, try and include things that your readers will actually find helpful.
An easy way to do that is to search the topic of your discussion on Google. Thereafter, go down to the ‘People Also Ask’ section.
Take a few questions from there, and write their answers in your content.
That way, if someone was to type out one of those questions in the search bar, your website would come up closer to the top because of the direct match. Answering these types of questions is a good way to create a way to relate to your audience.
4. Avoid Plagiarism in Your Content
Having plagiarism in your content can get your far away from getting an increase in organic traffic. It can drive away whatever audience you currently have.
If you have familiarity with SEO, you know that Google (and other search engines as well) take plagiarism seriously.
The lowest penalty that you can receive from Google for plagiarizing content is a lower rank in the SERPs. Your site can also get removed from the listing altogether.
And if any of these things happen to your website, it’s not going to be good for your website’s organic traffic. Sometimes it can even result in getting a lower domain authority (DA) score for your website which is not good for your site’s overall SEO.
So, whenever you write out any content for your blog or website, be sure to use a plagiarism detector to find plagiarized content.

5. Keep Your Content Readable
When writing any type of content for your website, try and keep it readable. A good way to keep the readability grade low is to imagine writing for a 10-year-old.
If your content readability will be low, your readers will easily understand and appreciate it. Then, they may even come back to read something else.
On the other hand, if you scare your readers away by using unnecessarily hard words and complex sentence structures, it’s not going to help you in the least.
6. Keep Your Grammar Perfect
Keeping your content grammatically perfect serves the same purpose as keeping your content readable. And that is to increase reader engagement.
Mind you, although Google does not mind grammatically incorrect content, Bing is not that friendly towards it. Bing ranks grammatically correct content higher in the SERPs.
Grammatical perfection creates an impression of professionalism and reliability in your content.
If your reader starts to spot errors and mistakes in your writing, they are going to lose trust, and not make recurring visits.
A highly recommended tool to keep good grammar is Grammarly which you can get for free.
7. Add Visuals to Your Site Content
And once again, this is another way to increase reader engagement with your content.
Adding useful images to your content can make it less boring, and easier to read. You can add graphs, charts, screenshots, and other types of graphics.
However, one thing that you should keep in mind is that when adding visuals, relevancy is important.
Don’t branch out too far, and don’t add images that aren’t related to the content you’re writing.
8. Use SEO Techniques in Your Content
As we said at the start, working on your website’s SEO is a good way to increase organic traffic.
In fact, the things we have mentioned so far on our list are more or less what you would find in a guide on how to improve SEO.
So, to improve your incoming organic traffic, you should incorporate SEO techniques in your content such as adding alternate texts to images and using heading styles, etc.
9. Update Site Content
Once you upload some content to your site, make sure to regularly come back and update it.
Replace old information with newer data. This will boost your site’s relevancy and it will be better for its SERP ranking.
You should check your website for old and outdated content on a regular basis, and make changes wherever they are needed.

10. Make Your Site Quick to Load
According to hobo-web.co.uk, 53% of mobile users abandon a website if it takes more than 3 seconds to load.
Looking at that figure, it’s easy for us to understand how important it is for websites to have quick loading times.
Think about it. You could be attracting a lot of visitors, but you could be losing more than half of them just because your site does not load quickly enough.
11. Watch Your Site Performance Metrics
You could be wondering: how does watching your website’s performance metrics help in generating more organic traffic?
Monitoring your website and keeping a track of its progress lets you determine whether or not your efforts in increasing SEO are working or not.
By checking things like domain authority and page authority, you will be able to see just how well your website is performing in the SERPs.
If your ranking scores are increasing, then it means that your strategy is working fine and that you should stick to it.
On the other hand, if your scores are decreasing, then you should understand that your SEO approach needs to be improved.
Conclusion
Increasing organic traffic requires more effort and skill than just paying a search engine to rank your website higher…as is the case with ads.
You have to work on increasing your website’s SEO in order to get it to a higher spot in the SERPs.
You also have to work on improving the reliability and authority of your website’s content so that it gets inbound links from other websites.
