What is Blogtober?
Blogtober is an annual event for bloggers. It’s one of the best ways for how to grow your Blog
It’s a blogging event held in the month of every October where participating bloggers blog every day the entire month! Yes, every day!
The Blogtober Challenge from last year (2020) brought me so much traffic that it has become my number #1 Pinterest Board with over 2 million Pinterest Impressions within the last 90 days. And to this day I still get traffic from those old posts.
In today’s post, we’ll be looking at my favorite places that I want to visit. Out of the five places that I selected to visit, I’ve only been to one of these (where my wife and I lived in San Antonio, TX for 9 years). The pins that I’m providing should provide you with a few things to do (and not do) while you plan your trip. This list is not in any kind of priority sequence although it would be really nice to see how San Antonio has changed since we left many years ago.
These are not pins that I made, so the link goes to the pin (in case you want to see more of the description).
I started compiling a list and I’ve kept it down to a mere 5 so that my wife and I can make at least one of these happen.
Here’s a tip for other bloggers too that might be getting close to their maximum size. With my plan it’s 40 GB and I’m already at 28 GB so instead of adding images to the blog post, I’m pulling the image from the website’s URL. So if the website goes down I might be SOL for the particular image because it “might” no longer be visible. My advice is that if you try this method that you keep an eye on things that might need to be fixed.
Many of these pins contain tips for travelers making their first trip (to that location).
The continents in order from largest to smallest are: Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia. The two that I haven’t been to are the ones in bold above (Antarctica and Australia). I’ve already been to Greenland so I have no desire to visit Antarctica (no matter how much my wife loves penguins). However, the same can’t be said for Australia which has so many beautiful and exotic creatures. Kangaroos are to Australia like deer are in our back yard late at night. In the second row is a pin called: 15 Fun Facts about Kangaroos that you should know (the one to the far left). For example, in that post, be sure to check out fact #2 that kangaroos can flex to impress their ladies (much like a guy making a pose with his biceps or a body building striking a pose to show off his muscles).
One of the most popular landmarks to see while you’re in Australia is the Great Barrier Reef. To see it satisfactorily, you’ll need a few days (is what I’ve read).
Favorite Places to Visit
Australia – Kangaroos and Koala Bears
I’ve seen my fair share of Disney movies; however, the same can’t be said about seeing Disney Land or Disney World. I haven’t been to either of the two places. Covid has changed a lot of things within the last couple of years, so now it’s more important than ever before to spend some time to preplan your trips to anywhere that you’d like to visit. One of the good things is that it’s quite possible that the lines won’t be as long as they used to be. With the passage of time and more people taking the vaccine, we should see a return to normalcy and the lines at famous attractions will resume.
San Antonio, TX
Places to check out in San Antonio are: Sea World of Texas, The Alamo, River Front, and Market Square. What the images below all have in common are links to the best things to do in San Antonio, Texas. The number one thing to do of course is to visit the historic Alamo where most people want to visit first. And then spend some time on the beautiful river front. If you still have time on your trip, make some available to spend at Sea World of Texas. There’s a place right outside of San Antonio called Garden Ridge Pottery and World Imports, they’ve changed their name to At Home and now there’s three locations within Loop 410 of San Antonio (the main drag to get around San Antonio).
