Today I read a post that mentioned how to get your first 1,000 e-mail subscribers as a new blogger (see the pin below).
I’m not going to cover every point that she makes in the article. I wanted to focus on one aspect that resonated with me that hopefully will build your e-mail subscribers.
Claire (the author of the post) mentioned that you should take a look at your top three blog posts and create a freebie for each of the top 3 posts. For some strange reason, it never occurred to me that this is where I should be focusing my effort to figure out where the freebie should be placed.
I have three blog posts that are doing very well. The first of which is more than 5,000 Social Shares for Star Trek – The Original Series pins.
Claire also mentions that the freebie must be relevant to the content. I decided to use the same image (see bottom of post) for each of these three posts because they all deal with the same issue of content that has been posted to my blog and Pinterest. I’ve recently started taking a new approach to my lead magnets, therefore, I’ll need to take a look at my top 3 posts and ensure that I’ve replaced the lead magnets there with something that is relevant to the post contents. Because my list of subscribers hasn’t grown as a result of this technique. However, I’m right in the middle of writing a new post that’s going to take me a few more days to finish. I believe that post (which I’ll update once it’s ready) will bring in more subscribers because its original and creative content.

I wanted to share this important information with the rest of you so that you can look at your blog and find your top three posts and do the same thing (especially if you’re fortunate enough to have a viral post or pin).
