To showcase Evergreen content examples in this post, I’ll be providing you with some of the Pinterest pins I have on my website that I would classify as being Evergreen Content. In addition to showcasing you with Evergreen content from my blog, it forces me to analyze my blog from a different perspective and look for opportunities where I can focus on creating more Evergreen Content. I hope that you’ll use some of these creative website design ideas to make money for your blog.

In the last few weeks, I’ve read over two dozen books that talk about blogging, how to monetize your blog, and/or Search Engine Optimization. One of the common things that I constantly came across was the term Evergreen Content.
I had a vague idea what it meant but until I started researching the information for this post, I hadn’t realized how important Evergreen Content can be for your blog. Especially if you’re wanting to have it monetized and want your blog to be profitable.
Before we can begin to look at creative website ideas of evergreen content it’s important for us to understand what is Evergreen content and to describe the benefits of creating Evergreen content for your Blog.
The folks from Brainlabsdigital.com explain evergreen content the best by saying:
“Evergreen content is content that remains relevant regardless of the season or the time-frame, just like trees that never lose their leaves.”

Much like an Evergreen will never lose its leaves, evergreen content remains to be timeless, it doesn’t have an expiration date. And it’s relevant at any time of year. Next, let’s look at some “good” and “bad” examples of Evergreen Content.
What I’m doing in this post is providing you with examples of Evergreen Content from my post as well as other known posts that I’ve seen to help provide you with some great examples for you to begin creating your own Evergreen content.

Table of Contents
Describing the benefits of creating Evergreen content
Creating Evergreen content can quickly be summed up into five (5) benefits:
- Higher Rankings in your Search Results
- Higher traffic on your website and
- The potential to increase your sales
- Drives people into your sales funnel
- Evergreen content makes you an expert in your industry

Higher rankings in search engine results
Google is on the constant lookout for content that’s valuable. This “valuable” content can turn into higher ranking in search results for your various keywords. An item worth taking note of is that Google favors Evergreen content over your old content. So writing Evergreen content is a golden ticket to more website traffic.
Higher traffic on your website
The way that Evergreen content improves your SEO ranking is that when people find something that they like and copy and paste information to your website it creates a backlink. Having more backlinks through the process of creating Evergreen content can improve your traffic, your SEO, and your Domain Authority (DA) score.
A key point to bring to your attention is that not all keywords fall into the category of being Evergreen content. In order for your content to be classified as “Evergreen” it needs to be timeless and not fall within to a trending topic. I used to believe that my Fall Décor was Evergreen because it brings me a lot of traffic during the fall and winter season and then it plummets again after that season. There’s a short surge of traffic but then it fades.
The easy way to tell if it’s Evergreen is to ensure that it’s getting “steady” traffic throughout the year, not just during a certain season.
If you’re a Pinterest content creator you’re more likely to get your evergreen content shared on the Pinterest social media platform to help pull more traffic to your website.
The potential to increase your sales
Getting more traffic increases the likelihood of getting sales. Having Evergreen content is a mechanism to get visitors to your site. Not only that you can use your Evergreen content to help build your e-mail subscribers. Ensure that you have a good call to action to entice your blog visitors so that they’ll subscribe to your blog.
Drive visitors into your sales funnel
If people are contemplating to buy something and they see your Evergreen content, it can drive them into your sales funnel. This is one of the biggest reasons that you’ll want to create Evergreen content so that you can take action on your part to help monetize your blog.
Evergreen content makes you an expert in your industry.
By creating Evergreen content you’ll establish E.A.T. and people will want to provide natural backlinks to your blog because you’ve proven yourself to be an expert in your niche.

Good examples of Evergreen Content
A complete guide for beginners
Commenting on a guide that you develop geared toward beginners.
Annual/monthly updated reports
If you have a business this would be a good place provide some annual or monthly reports and don’t forget to provide links to the previous results from last year or last month.
Artwork / Paintings / Movie Posters
These can be big draws to bring a ton of traffic to your blog. When I created PinArtwork it was mainly in part because I wanted to show my collection of Norman Rockwell paintings. Had it not been for my fondness of artwork I may have never started my blog.

Artwork posts by subject:
Top 52 Star Trek TOS Pins are awesome Star Trek episode posters created by Michael Schuh Star Trek artist who has created some of the finest pins I’ve ever seen. Below are my various categories of artwork.
Faith Quotes * Motivational / Inspirational Quotes * Norman Rockwell Paintings
Jack Vettriano Paintings * Thomas Kinkade * Cruella pictures
Star Trek – TOS and Star Trek – TNG
Beginner’s guides
Call it what you like, a beginner’s guide, a getting started guide, or a beginner’s guide to xyz. They’re virtually all the same thing but make great Evergreen content topics. In the example below, A Beginner’s Guide to SEO I wrote an Evergreen content post making it easier for beginner’s to learn about SEO.
Case studies
What make case studies a little different from a how to post is that it’s an analysis of a particular topic done to greater degree of research. I’ve never personally conducted a case study so here’s a link to a post called How to Write an Effective Case Study Blog Post. I like this article because although they don’t tell you how to write a case study blog post they do mention several items that you want to be sure to include in your case study post.
Checklists
Checklists make good posts and then when your done writing your checklist post you can go back and review the contents of it and embellish the key main points in an Infographic. Creating Infographics is a great way to grow your blog.

Entertainment – books, movies, TV, films, products
Providing images from movies and television shows is a great way to create Evergreen content. Especially if the movie is a box office hit. For example, I have been making a lot of Pinterest pins for Cruella and when the sequel Cruella 2 arrives I’ll be able to make a whole new batch of Evergreen content to be followed for years to come.
If you hone in on some collectible items that people like for example Star Wars, Star Trek and things that have been around for awhile those are pretty big draws too. Be on the lookout for new movies and images to your posts centered around a central theme (DC Movies, Marvel Movies, etc.).
FAQs
FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) for the most part are self-explanatory. They’re the same questions that get asked over and over again. Where I find them useful is when I’m in a Facebook Group and I can quickly copy and paste the information from the post or provide a link to the post (usually the latter so that you drive them to your website).
Glossary of terms
Here you have several items that you can use at your disposal to make a glossary. It can be a variety of different forms to include things like: Definitions, acronyms, synonyms, or a Dictionary. These types of posts are also very useful to link to your other posts to grow your website’s site structure.

Some good examples of Glossaries you can make for good evergreen content are Star Trek The Original Series, Star Trek The Next Generation, Star Wars (for each of the various movies or combine them all into one), The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter characters, Ghostbuster characters, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, or television series that have a lot of unique and interesting characters like the Simpsons. The possibilities for what you can create are endless. Look for instances where there’s a lot of characters so that you can make more content to put into your glossary.
To create your content the easiest two tools that I have found to be helpful are Canva Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
HARO posts
HARO stands for Help A Reporter Out. What you do is go to the HARO website and sign up for a free service to help out journalists. I get these on a regular basis and once in a while I’ll weed through the various items to see if there’s something that stands out. The hard part is that there’s no guarantee that your information will be used.
You’re supposed to provide original information when you reply to HARO requests but it might be a good practice to back up what you wrote in case it wasn’t used. If something similar comes along, just be sure to Google to ensure it’s not already out there before you send it to the journalist. Be sure to read the description of what they’re asking for as well as the qualifications for the person writing the post.
How to guides
A How to blog post is where you want to bring your readers through some different subjects that are very hard to master (like SEO for example). Creating a how to guide gives you expertise within your niche. What I like to do for these type of posts is to provide detailed step-by-step processes to solve problems that people may have with the particular topic.

When you write a post for Evergreen content it doesn’t all have to be images, it can be text just as well as in this example from a how-to post (that’s mostly text) I wrote called 50 Ways for How to Grow your Blog Fast. In the post, 50 Ways for How to Grow your Blog Fast I examined 50 powerful strategies to promote your Blog’s traffic.

Here’s one last example of a how to post called Mastering SEO in 2022. In this post Mastering SEO in 2022 I’m discussing how to Learn SEO @ a Glance. I’m going to show you how you can Learn SEO @ a Glance with my A – Z of SEO in 2022 Infographic. It’s a comprehensive SEO Infographic showing you the most important things to know about SEO. This is a perfect example of Evergreen content because it’s applicable for 2022 and years to come. It’s the important ABC’s of Learning SEO
List-style blog posts
Any type of post that your able to put into a list format. When I write Blogtober posts, this is a technique that I like to use with titles like the Top 10 Creative photos from Pinterest.

Parenting or Mom Posts
There’s an incredible amount of bloggers out there looking for these type of posts. Suzi at Start a Mom Blog has made her whole blog and Pinterest account centered around helping Moms.
Recipes
Providing food recipes with images and Pinterest pins.
Round-up posts
Dependent on the topic these are helpful where you pick one topic and then centralize several posts and consolidate all of them into one cohesive post.
Strategy posts
Articulating a strategy on how you do something and putting it into your own words. Very much like a how to post except for that it’s more like story telling for situations that you’ve used because it’s been especially helpful for you. These are the types of posts that will get you great backlinks in droves and prove your Expertise, Authority, and Trustworthiness (E.A.T. principles). – TiaSays.com
A common element that a lot of bloggers are looking for are Pinterest strategy posts to describe how they’ve grown their blog with the use of Pinterest to help other bloggers.
For example, before the Pinterest algorithm changed and there wasn’t a lot of emphasis on duplicate content this post was getting a lot of attention, How to get 1 Million Monthly views for Pinterest. But Pinterest is always changing their algorithm so bloggers are looking for the latest and greatest techniques to help grow their Pinterest.
Tools posts
Write posts about the tools that you use for your job. Other people like to see what tools other experts are using within their field of expertise. This is also a good chance to show off some of your affiliate links. For example, this post called Best Blogging Tools for Beginners was just that. A post of the tools that I regularly use as a blogger
Top xx Tips
Top tips are a great way to provide Evergreen content. Having a number in your title also makes your title more clickable and slightly raises your SEO score (which you can see if you’re using Rank Math SEO plug-in). In this example, I’m showing you a post that I made called Top 10 SEO Tips to how to Rank first page on Google. There I took my SEO expertise with ranking items and my regular use of Rank Math to rank keywords on the first page of Google.

Tutorials
Tutorials are good Evergreen content items to use. However, due to the nature that the information is likely to get changed they should be checked on a regular basis to make sure they’re up to date. Especially if the tutorial is related to Pinterest which is constantly changing because of their Pinterest algorithm. In this example of a Tutorial, I’m providing the post called Easy Roadmap to Backlinks The Guestographic Method. There I teach you about a method that Brian Dean from Backlinko uses to get backlinks called the Guestographic Method using Infographics.

Weight loss tips / Health and Fitness articles
These bring in a good draw of people. One of the most famous blogs that I know of established by Create and Go has developed a blog devoted to health and wellness called Avocadu.
This is not a complete list of all the opportunities for you to write Evergreen Content. It’s been provided to you so that you can think outside of the box and begin to start brainstorming some ideas that you can create Evergreen content for your blog.
Bad examples of Evergreen Content
These are topics/niches that you shouldn’t write about because they don’t stand up to the passage of time. Note: Take the category of Statistics with a grain of salt because it can actually fall into both categories, so you “may want to stay away from using stats” if you’re planning to create evergreen content. FYI, I took it out of the “good” category because I’m not much of a stats person. But what might not interest me, could interest someone else.
