10 Best StumbleUpon Alternatives
Those links that they (other webmasters) create to your blog are what’s going to improve your SEO and more importantly will increase your Domain Authority Score. Especially if the links are coming from a website that has a much higher domain authority score than yours.

What was StumbleUpon?
StumbleUpon was a mechanism to take you from one website to another and was the predecessor to Stumbled (mentioned below).
Why should you use these StumbleUpon alternatives for your SEO?
Because as the name StumbleUpon implies you might stumble upon a website that you really like. If you find something that you really like you could write a review about that website, particularly if it’s within your niche.
10 Alternatives to StumbleUpon
A majority of these alternatives are ones that I seldom use, but what I might not like could be something you really enjoy, so you might want to tinker with some of these to see what tickles your fancy.
- Pinterest – I’m exceptional fond of this social media platform. It’s one of the principal reasons that I created my blog in the first place. It allows you to sort your favorite photos and put them into what Pinterest calls boards. And the photos within each board are called pins. It’s a great way to promote your blog posts. What I really like about Pinterest is that it has a great search engine optimization all of it’s own to help promote growth for your blog.
- Facebook – my principal marketing tool to promote my blog posts is Pinterest and Facebook is my #2 marketing tool. What I like to do is to join Facebook Groups and help people with their blogging questions that I know the answer to help point them in the right direction.
- Twitter – Users on twitter make comments on their posts which are known as tweets. At one time tweets could only be 140 characters. But now the limitation was raised to 280 characters just recently in 2021. For the best engagement it’s best to keep the tweets short and point to the point using an average of 71 to 100 characters.
- Instagram – A simple, fun & creative way to capture, edit & share photos, videos & messages with friends & family.
- Mix – an app that needs your Smart Phone in order to post your pictures so people can see them.
- Discuvver – random websites to take you to interesting places, you never know where you’re going to end up. Don’t like the site that it takes you to? Close it and repeat the process. Kind of similar to Stumbled below, but in order to go to the next random website you have to close the window that your in and start all over again. Whereas Stumbled below, is a random roulette wheel to take you from one website to another.

- Tumblr – choose five categories of items that interest you. I like this program but I haven’t been able to figure out how to master it so that you can effectively market your blog.
- Stumbled – this is a true roulette wheel and although I’ve never personally used StumbleUpon before this is pretty the next best thing that resembles it.
- Pearltrees – allows you to put a bunch of variety items on the website, but I couldn’t readily figure out how to delete something so you might have to experiment with this medium before you begin to start putting too much on it all at once and then won’t be able to remove any of it.

- AllTop – Top news stories of the day arranged for you to easily see the daily top news stories.
The one that I exceptionally like to stay abreast of for SEO news is https://alltop.com/seo. This way you can stay abreast of some of the top news stories from SEO blogs.
